Not quite, Mr. McCain

Lose those rose-colored glasses, John McCain, at least if you're serious about impressing the American public with your credentials to be president. Myopia is profoundly disappointing on the part of someone who once built a national reputation on brutal honesty.

Here's Mr. McCain, back from a trip to a Baghdad market on Sunday that required precautions fit for, well, war. Bulletproof vests for Mr. McCain and his delegation, helicopter cover above and Humvees on the ground.

Mr. McCain's message?

We're apparently not getting the full picture, or the whole truth, about the Iraq war and the progress that's being made -- thanks to a media that won't function the way the Republican senator from Arizona would prefer.

Sounds like the White House line, only from a once-heralded figure in that very same media seven years ago -- when he was the only thing between George W.

Younger Joffe leaves LCA-Vision

Craig Joffe, son of founder and former CEO Stephen N. Joffe, has resigned as LCA-Vision Inc.'s chief operating officer and general counsel effective Friday, the company announced Tuesday.

Joffe has also resigned from the company's board of directors, the company said, declining to give a reason for his departure.

Craig Joffe, who joined LCA-Vision in March 2003, took over as interim chief executive when his father abruptly departed in February 2006. But the younger Joffe was passed over for permanent appointment as chief executive when the company hired Steven Straus in November.

President Kufuor commended for promising neutrality

A final year student of the Department of Optometry of the Kwame Nkrumah University f Science and Technology has commended President Agyekum Kufuor for saying that he will be neutral in the election of a flag bearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The student, David Atta-Acheampong who made the commendation told the Daily Graphic in Kumasi that the Presidents decision was one of the best as it would definitely be in the interest of the party.

Mr. Atta-Acheampong said when he read from the political page of the March 20 edition of the Daily Graphic that the President addressed the first International Delegates Conference of the NPP in London, where he made the statement; "I felt that the President's acclaimed maturity was at display.

He also referred to another statement by the President that the processes outlined by the party would enable it to select a flag bearer who would be able to unite the party and win the forthcoming elections.

Tampa, FL (PRWeb) April 6, 2007 -- The information is constantly changing and evolving. So, it's no surprise that pet owners are worried and even confused about what to feed their pets, in wake of the recent pet food recall.
